Sonali went on to speak about Bollywood, web series, and also her one big regret with Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan.

Aamir, who will next be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha, starred alongside Sonali in Sarfarosh (1999), and the actress has shared what she missed out on.

“I definitely want to be working now. I’m enjoying it so much. Now I’m no longer an accidental actor. I’m choosing to do this. Now I don’t have an excuse if I don’t get it right. When I did Sarfarosh with Aamir, I enjoyed it. I missed the opportunity to consciously learn from him during Sarfarosh,” she said while speaking to the Film Companion.

Sarfarosh, produced and directed by John Matthew Matthan was an action drama that also starred Naseeruddin Shah, and Mukesh Rishi.

It is also reported that there will be a Sarfarosh sequel starring John Abraham.

Sonali also spoke on what Bollywood needs to improve on in the light of the OTT platforms.

“If OTT platforms wouldn’t have come, we wouldn’t have got a second innings. That ‘chalta hai (casually saying it’s okay)’ attitude cannot last anymore and I think that’s the best thing that has happened to our industry.” she said.

Sonali will make her OTT debut with The Broken News series, where she will play the role of journalist Amina Qureshi of Awaaz Bharati.
