The story is of the kind which went out of fashion many years ago. The adapted screenplay is so full of holes that the drama completely fails to engage the viewers. If the comedy falls flat on its face most of the times, the emotions touch the heart at barely one or two places. The biggest minus point, perhaps, is that the film looks like a film rather than a seamless drama unfolding in front of the audience.On the whole, Shehzada is a dull fare with glaring defects in the screenplay. It will get the audience’s thumbs down.

Though it is a remake of Telugu film, he has tried to add the tadka of Bollywood to it in right proportions. Right from comedy to action, Shehzada has it all.Shehzada is one-time watch movie for all those who love Bollywood and all the drama, comedy, action that comes along with it. BL gives the film 3 stars.

It should be a crime to make certain films in the 21st century. And a film where a boy (would you call Kartik Aaryan a man, think seriously) turns out good simply because his genetics are originally of a rich family, even if he had been swapped at birth into a clerk’s abode — as opposed to his counterpart who never really rises above his poor clerk family genes despite living in privilege, should surely qualify.Only Koirala and Roy come out of this with some dignity intact. That’s more than can be said about the audience.

Rohit Dhawan’s direction is fine. He handles the scale and mass elements well. He also scores in the emotional moments. Moreover, he has not done a complete copy-paste of the original film. He has made a few scenes compact and kept the duration in check, at 152 minutes. At the same time, however, he has omitted some massy scenes from the original version, a few of which were very memorable. Ideally, those sequences needed to be there in SHEHZADA as it would have uplifted the film to another level. Moreover, the humour could have been more as the film had the scope to be a laugh-a-minute riot.On the whole, SHEHZADA is a family mass entertainer and impresses due to the funny and emotional moments, action scenes, and Kartik Aaryan’s superlative performance.

Overall, Kartik Aaryan starrer Shehzada is needs to be enjoyed to the fullest instead of comparing it with the original one or trying to find sense in it. Rohit Dhawan brings a full out and out entertaining movie that offers all the emotions from laughter to action to joy. Apart from that, Kartik Aaryan is the heart of the film who demands attention. Like i have said it before Shehzada is a full masala entertainer.

Shehzada leaves no stone unturned in the entertainment department. Along with comedy, there is also a family connection that viewers love. Keeping in mind the Hindi audience and today’s youth, Rohit Dhawan has made relevant changes to the superhit Telugu film. However, not all the characters are given their due on the screen. The film is all about Kartik Aaryan and the leading lady, Kriti Sanon’s track abruptly ends in the second half which is disappointing. Also, since Shehzada is the Hindi remake of the Telugu film ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’, many people have already seen it. So, there is a high chance that Shehzada’s box office collection will be affected by it. Allu Arjun’s Telugu film is even available on YouTube in Hindi dubbed version.
