Sandeep Soparkar distinguished for his contribution in the field of dance and social work

The purpose of the awards is to demonstrate to every nation the importance of culture to the whole fabric of the world and by representing through art they understand and experience love, wisdom and wish creative minds and hearts to take the path to peace.

For more than a decade, Bollywood’s ace dancer, choreographer Sandeep Soparkar has won various awards for his contribution in the field of dance and social work. His Dance for a Cause initiative uses dance as a means to raise awareness and improve society and its diverse issues. But this year is very special for dancer-choreographer Sandeep Soparkar because his global initiative Dance for a Cause is receiving international recognition.

Dressed in a white Shervani designed by Deepak Shah of More Mischief and styled by Pooja Shah Bhandari and Jashank Bhandari, Sandip Soparrkar was crowned and honored by the Art4Peace Awards with the title of ‘King of Art4Peace’ for his social work through ‘Dance for a Cause’ and d Ms. Alma Dang, an artist and philanthropist from Mexico who works to end ignorance and child exploitation, was crowned “Queen of Art4Peace” at the prestigious Saban Theater Beverly Hills, Los Angles, California, USA.

At the after party after receiving this international honor, dressed in a black and white sequined tuxedo designed by Chaya Gandhi, the dapper King of Art4Peace, Sandeep Soparkar said, “I was humbled and truly honored to receive the title of King of Art4Peace this a crown carries innumerable responsibilities, and I promise to bear them with the utmost sincerity and devotion, and to do justice to the motto, “From my heart to your heart, love and peace, we are one.”

Dame Munni Irone founded Art4Peace, a non-profit organization, in collaboration with Dr. Gershom Sikaala and presented the 11th annual Art4Peace Awards and a three-day International Peace Summit and Gala.

Dame Munni Irone states, “Mr. Sandeep deserves the title of ‘King of Art 4 Peace’, this crown comes to him as an appreciation for all the philanthropic work he does through his global initiative ‘Dance for a Cause’. We at Art4Peace know that through his initiative he has raised funds and created awareness for countless charitable causes around the world. We believe he is a torchbearer of the art of giving through dance. We are sure that Mr. Sandeep and Ms. Dang will shoulder their responsibilities and duties to spread love and peace that they are not trusted with.”

The Art4Peace Awards were born to divide and their global peace leaders are constantly working to effect global positive change. They dream of a safer, peaceful and loving world through art, culture and wisdom. Dame Dr Munni Irone founded and established The Arts4Peace Awards in 2011 with the simple aim that “success comes when we serve”.

The organization wishes to bring about global change and create leaders through the arts and through wisdom. The principles are non-violence, wisdom, love and peace. The purpose of the awards is to demonstrate to every nation the importance of culture to the whole fabric of the world and by representing through art they understand and experience love, wisdom and wish creative minds and hearts to take the path to peace.
