Director SS Rajamouli’s much-awaited epic, RRRStarring Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in an extended cameo role, has broken several box office records since its premiere, including the past Baahubali 2 to become the biggest opening ever in the history of Indian cinema in the Ranking both in India and around the world – SS Rajamouli, thereby competing with itself. RRR ended its entire run with an impressive ₹1,115 crore gross worldwide, the fourth biggest loss of top grossing indian movies globally from all time ago Dangal, Baahubali The Conclusion and KGF 2 – on I eat star overtaking him and claiming third place.
SS Rajamouli reveals plans to make Mahabharata
While talking to Mint, SS Rajamouli revealed his plans for his next ambitious project – none other than Mahabharata and frankly, there couldn’t be a better candidate to finally bring the Indian epic to the big screen. Rajamooi said this to make his films even bigger and better and of course to tell Indian stories to the rest of the world, with Mahabharata being his long-time dream project. However, he admitted that it will take a long time before he takes it up, the ad will probably take out 3-4 films before then.
RRR beats Tom Gun Maverick and The Batman at the HCA Awards
SS Rajamouli, Jr NTR, Ram Charan’s RRR continues to set new standards in the Hollywood. After receiving lavish praise from several Hollywood directors and technicians, the magnum opus has now added another feather to its bill by finishing as the Hollywood Critics Association’s mid-season runner-up, beating favorites like Top Gun Maverick, The Batman, Red, Cha Cha Real smooth, Elvis, The northerner and The overwhelming weight of immense talent. Everything everywhere and at once was a winner.

RRR recreates its box office magic on OTT
RRR is now replicating the same box office magic it showed a few months back in the OTT arena. A little over a week ago, the SS Rajamouli directorial made its digital premiere in the Hindi version of Netflix – southern versions appeared on ZEE5. Within this short span of time, Jr NTR and Ram Charan starrer (with Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in extended cameos) skyrocketed OTT platform on the list of the top five films in the US, while also making it to the top ten lists in over sixty countries. RRR well and truly continuing their path of dominance, right?
