Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra to Prabhas’s Adipurush, 5 upcoming Indian movies that are being made on a crazy budget of Rs 300 Crore to Rs 500 Crore

Last seen in Fanney Khan in 2018, Aishwariya Rai Bachchan will next be seen in Mani Ratnam’s dream project which is a period drama. Featuring the biggest names of the South Indian film industry, the movie stars Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Jayaram, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Vikram Prabhu. The movie draws inspiration from historical literature and follows the events of the Chola dynasty (the longest-ruling dynasty in the world). The chronicles of the same were published in the Tamil weekly magazine Kalki between 1950 and 1954 and later were compiled in a book by Kalki Krishnamurthy in 1995. Made on a budget of Rs 500 crore, the film’s music is being composed by AR Rahman.

3. Adipurush

Inspired by Ramayana, the upcoming 3D Indian movie features Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon and Vatsal Sheth. The movie will see Prabhas playing the role of Lord Ram who is also known as Adi Purush and Khan will be seen donning the role of the King of Lanka, Ravana. Made on a budget of Rs 400 crore, the plot revolves around the triumph of good over evil.

4. Tiger 3

Salman Khan’s popular franchise returns with its third part. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the movie will also see Katrina Kaif reprising her role. Being made on a budget of Rs 350 crore, the spy-thriller will yet again be a blend of high-octane action sequence and romance.

Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda’s classic is being remade. While of late, the remakes of old Hindi classic movies have turned out to be disappointing, this one seems promising due to its cast – Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. With a massive budget of Rs 300 crore, the movie will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
