The trailer of the movie left the fans amused and the peppy songs kept everyone entertained. Well, all the hard work seems to have paid off. On its opening day, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar managed to do good business at the box office.

As reported by Box Office India, Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar managed to make Rs 14 crore on its opening day. Luv Ranjan’s film was estimated to make approximately 10.6 crores at the box office, but the film exceeded expectations. The film released on Holi and the festival seems to have worked very well for the film. The report suggests that had it not been for Holi, the numbers could have been even higher. But still, the festival edition worked. However, the first day collection of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar failed to beat the numbers of Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 2. The film crossed the Rs 15 crore mark at the Day 1 box office.

Now it remains to be seen whether Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will continue to gather footfalls at the theaters or not. The chemistry between Shraddha Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor is said to be sizzling in the film.
