Brahmastra, dir Ayan Mukerji and manufactured by Karan Johar, is off to a fantastic start at the box office with more than 1 lakh tickets already sold on Day 1 and over 2 lakh tickets sold for the opening weekend alone in the three national multiplex chains. These staggering numbers do not include individual screens, many of which have not opened their bookings. This shows a genuine interest among the audience to watch Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt star indicating that Brahmastra trailer, Brahmastra songs and the promos have clicked big time. Brahmastra is taking the best advance bookings after the pandemic
Our trade sources and our own box office tracking have named the Ayan Mukerji directorial and Karan Johar production Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna and Amitabh Bachchan as the best advance booking for a Bollywood film since the pandemic , and the numbers are so good for the first 2 days or so that it would have been considered good even during pre-pandemic times, but in today’s day and age it’s set up for a dream come true opening.
Brahmastra ranks among the top ten all-time Bollywood hits
As mentioned before, the unthinkable has happened as Brahmastra has not only taken the best post-pandemic advance booking among Bollywood films, but is also about to break into the top ten advance bookings of all time for Bollywood. As it is, movies have already sold more tickets before even their release RRR in its Hindi version (next only behind KGF 2 between Southern movies), but this latest achievement was not expected even by the most optimistic trade forecasts.
