SS Rajamouli’s film RRR has been nominated for Oscar 2023. The song Naatu Naatu has received a nomination in the Best Original Song category. Before the big event, Ram Charan is busy with promotion and interviews with international media. Recently in an interview with Letterbox, Ram Charan was asked to name some of his favorite films. He stated that he watched The Notebook, Terminator 2, Gladiator and Inglourious Basterds. He was then asked to name the Indian films for the international audience. Here is his answer.
Ram Charan has chosen four films that he would like to recommend to international audiences after the success of RRR. A Bollywood movie is listed. He chose Shekhar Kapur’s Anil Kapoor and Sridevi film Mr. India. The other three films are regional. First, he chose Danna Veera Soora Karna, second, he chose SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali and the third film is Rangasthalam starring him.

Ram Charan has even appeared in popular American TV shows. In KLTA Entertainment, Ram Charan was referred to as the ‘Brad Pitt of India’. To this he cheekily replied that he likes Brad Pitt for sure. Ram Charan also appeared on Good Morning India and it was a happy moment for all his fans as he became the first Telugu actor to do so.
RRR to bring home the Oscar?
Now everyone is crossing their fingers for RRR. The film, which also starred Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn, has already received many prestigious honors at various international film festivals and now everyone is waiting for it to bring the Oscar home.
