On Monday, after suffering a ligament injury on the sets, Prithviraj Sukumaran underwent a keyhole surgery and is currently in the process of recovering. The Pan India star took to social media to share an update with his well-wishers who were eagerly waiting to know more about his health.
In an Instagram post, the actor penned a letter for his fans, saying, “Hello! So yes…I had an accident while shooting an action sequence for VILAYATH BUDDHA. Fortunately, I’m in the hands of experts who performed a key whole surgery and I’m now recouping. It’s rest and physiotherapy ahead for a couple of months. Will try my best to use that time constructively, and I promise to fight through the pain to recover fully and get back into action asap. Thank you to all those who reached out and expressed concern and love.”
Directed by Jayan Nambiar, Vilayath Buddha revolves around two men at loggerheads, trying to gain ownership of a sandalwood tree. The film also stars Anu Mohan, Priyamvada Krishnan, Shammi Thilakan, among others and is slated for release later this year. Prithviraj is also juggling between his role as a filmmaker and actor, have been working on other projects including the much-awaited Prashanth Neel film Salaar.
