South Pacific Export has partnered with the PNG Fashion Week to deliver the PNG Fashion awards for the National Gaming Control Board Paradise Runway.

PNG fashion Week managing director Philma Kelegai said PNG Fashion Week is trying to create opportunity for everyone in the fashion industry, and to be a platform to do all of this, they need partners who can help them to build this dream.

She said SP Export will be taking out the naming rights for that particular award ceremony and all prizes that come under that will be part of their branding as well.

“This year we have the designer of the year, rising star award, textiles designer award, and others, which will all be called SP Export,” she said.

Ms Kelegai said under the theme dreams of a nation there will 11 designers taking part in the runway show, all female designers with three established and eight upcoming designers who will be designing according to the theme.

Ms Kelegai said for this year’s runway show there is no male participant but a female designer will be doing an all-male collection which might be the highlight of the NGCB Paradise Runway.

Heineken and SP Export brand manager Shandi Bock said they are excited to be the silver sponsor for the Paradise Runway sponsoring K50,000 under their premier brand SP lager.

She said PNG Fashion Week is the country’s premier fashion platform that provides opportunities for established and emerging fashion designers and models to show their talents, and as PNG’s world class exports, it is only fitting we support another internationally renowned brand.
