One of the main conclusions that scientists from the Indian Space Research Organization provided after The descent module of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft has safely touched the surface of the Moon was that the failure of the Chandrayaan 2 mission in 2019 was indeed the stepping stone to Wednesday’s success.

There have been multiple accounts given by ISRO scientists about the amount of effort put into the Chandrayaan-3 mission to ensure that the mistakes of the Chandrayaan-2 mission are not repeated and to minimize the chance of failure. The scientists said there were moments of criticism and ridicule that had to be overcome for success.

“Chandrayan-2 was a work of many years and Chandrayan-3 was the last four years. The science from Chandrayaan-2 about the failed soft landing attempt has really helped us refine the methodology and also have a large number of experiments and tests in the landing process and it has paid dividends for us,” ISRO Chairman S Somnath said after the success.

Three of the key scientists associated with the Chandrayaan-3 mission were also part of Chandrayaan-2 – project director P Veeramuthuvel, associate project director K Kalpana and mission director M Srikanth. Top scientists like V Narayanan also contributed to the Chandrayaan 2 mission.

In its findings, Bengaluru-based Cadabams Hospital said it was a proven fact that music can address mental health issues. The hospital found that music therapy can be helpful in modulating moods and emotions.

For several years, the hospital has been actively involved in researching the efficacy of music therapy as a treatment method for mental disorders.

According to Neha Kadabam, the hospital’s executive director, the research began with a pilot program in 2019, and since late 2020, regular music and cinema therapy sessions have been introduced as part of the hospital’s therapeutic approach.

“Music therapy is a specialized therapeutic approach that uses the inherent qualities of music to address the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals. It involves a trained and certified music therapist who uses music interventions to achieve specific therapeutic goals. These interventions can include playing instruments, singing, listening to music and writing songs,” she said.
