‘Pathu Thala’ box office collection: Movie mints Rs 20 crore in 3 days | Tamil Movie News

Directed by Obeli N Krishna, ‘Pathu Thala’ starring Simbu, Gautham Karthik, Priya Bhavani Shankar in lead roles was released in theatres on March 30. The film recieved positive reviews from fans and critics and it has become the 3rd continuous blockbuster hit of Simbu.
According to reports, the movie has approximately made a gross of Rs 20 crore in 3 days after its release in theatres. The movie on day 1, made Rs 8 crore and on day 2 it grossed Rs 7 crore and in day 3 the film made Rs 5.5 crore. Reports suggest that the film saw a small drawback on day 2 and day 3 and it clashed in the theatres with Vetrimaaran’s ‘Viduthalai’.

It is expected the film will pick up its pace in the coming days and is expected to run in theatres for three weeks at the least.
‘Pathu Thala’ is the remake of Kannada film ‘Mufti’ and it has Simbu playing the role of the underworld gangster AGR and Gautham Karthik plays the role of an undercover cop. The rest of the cast includes Gautham Vasudev Menon and Santhosh Prathap in important roles. The music for the movie is composed by AR Rahman.
