Ever since Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra hit the theatres, there has been a lot of curiosity among fans trying to decode Dev’s identity in the Ayan Mukerji directorial. Ranveer Singh was earlier reported to have played the role, but choreographer Punit Pathak was later said to be the mysterious Dev in Brahmastra.
Breaking his silence on the ongoing reports that he is shooting for Dev’s role in the film, Puneeth denied it, saying it was false. “No, no, I didn’t take a picture of it. It’s not true, it’s not right. I am not Dev in Brahmastra,” Punit told News18.
A few days back, when Ayan was asked the burning question of who is Dev, the director refrained from revealing the character’s identity amid Ranveer and Hrithik Roshan’s casting for the past. “I can’t reveal who Dev is. I read a lot of names but it will remain a mystery for a while,” he said.
However, Ayan had said that there were a few fan theories that Alia had shared with him and that really caught his attention. He said that the team will take it seriously and script Brahmastra part 2 and start producing it.
He shared that the script for Brahmastra 2 is already locked and spent almost two hours working on part 2 on the day of the release of part 1. The director also said that he will consider the mixed reviews as positive feedback to make Brahmastra part 2 on -good version.
