Nora Fatehi records defamation case against Jacqueline Fernandez; says, “I was used as a scapegoat…”

Nora Fatehi and To Jacqueline Fernandez names hit the headlines in a negative light in the case of fraudster Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Both actresses were interrogated by the Directorate for the Execution of Punishments. Nora Fatehi was later reported to have filed a defamation suit against Jacqueline Fernandez and media organizations for defaming her name. Today, she recorded her statement in the Patiala court. She reportedly recorded her statement under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code and stated that she was being used as a scapegoat. Here’s what Nora Fatehi said in her statement

In the statement recorded by Nora Fatehi, she said that the case has been filed against Jacqueline Fernandez and various channels that have ruined her reputation in the public eye with false narratives. She talks about being called a gold digger and being accused of having a relationship with con man Sukesh Chandrasekhar. She said in the statement: “This has caused me a loss of financial gain and reputation. The reason I have filed this case is because of the ongoing ED case against Sukesh, who was accused of fraud to the tune of ₹200 crore, which I have nothing to do with and know nothing about.” Nora Fatehi also stated that she felt that was used as a scapegoat in the case. She said: “I feel that I have been used as a scapegoat in this case in the media to protect certain people and because I am an outsider and I have been taken as a soft target and I want compensation for all the damages, caused to my career,” as reported by NDTV.com. In the statement, Nora Fatehi sought compensation as all this has damaged her reputation and career. Jacqueline Fernandez is yet to respond to Nora Fatehi’s statement. The Sukesh Chandrasekhar case

Conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar was arrested in total 3 cases. He was last arrested in February 2023 in a Rs 4 crore extortion case. He reportedly cheated former Religare promoter Malvinder Singh’s wife Jhapna Singh of Rs 4 crore.
