While the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC), a first-of-its-kind venue for the arts, opened its doors in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex in October 2022, it is all set for a three-day launch for the public on March 31, 2023. It promises to be a significant cultural monument is dedicated to Nita M. Ambani, a businesswoman, philanthropist and longtime supporter of the arts.
The Jio World Centre, which is in the centre of India’s financial and entertainment hub, is where the NMACC is located as well. It houses the nation’s largest conference centre, retail hospitality establishments and more. The three-story structure will include facilities for both visual and performing arts. The Grand Theatre, The Studio Theatre and The Cube are three specifically designed performance venues. They were all built with cutting-edge technology to accommodate a variety of experiences, from private screenings and thought-provoking discussions to multilingual programming and international productions. The centre will also open The Art House, a four-story facility that will feature prominent artists from India and around the world.

Civilization to Nation: The Journey of Our Nation (March 31)
Feroz Abbas Khan, a renowned Indian playwright and director, will present a sensory account of Indian culture at the 2,000-seater Grand Theatre using the principles of the classical Natya Shastra, an old Sanskrit treatise on the performing arts. This dramatic performance incorporates puppetry, dance, music and over 700 other artists.

India in Fashion: The Impact of Indian Dress and Textiles on the Fashionable Imagination (April 1)
This exhibit explores the broad impact and influence of India’s sartorial traditions in textiles, jeweller, and surface ornamentation on global fashion spanning the 18th to the 21st century and is curated by prolific author and costume expert Hamish Bowles, editor-in-chief, The World of Interiors and international editor-at-large, Vogue US. A coffee table book by Rizzoli that presents a thorough history of India and its influence on fashion globally is published in conjunction with this exhibition.
Sangam Confluence (April 2)
Sangam Confluence is a group art exhibition that celebrates various cultural impulses and traditions at the 16,000 sq. ft. Art House. It is organised by India’s foremost cultural theorist Ranjit Hoskote and Jeffrey Deitch, an American curator, former director of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), Los Angeles, and founder of his eponymous gallery. The exhibition, which spans four levels, examines the diversity of India via the works of 11 renowned and up-and-coming contemporary Indian artists as well as western artists who have been influenced by India.

Celebrities Arrive In Style

At the launch part party, celebrities and industrialists have started to arrive in style. Apart from the Ambani family, Anusha Dandekar, Sara Jane Dias and others have been spotted.
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan looked regal. Kareena wore a red lehenga and Saif donned a white pyjama kurta with a Nehru jacket.
Mira Kapoor looked ethereal in a white outfit featuring a halter neck. She accessoried it with green-beaded jewellery. Shahid Kapoor posed in an all-black ensemble.
Deepika Padukone was a sight to behold in the golden outfit. The pansuit featured embellsihed embroidery and a sheer shrug. The actor opted for a centre-parted low ponytail and donned a maang tika. Ranveer Singh got clicked in a white outfit.
Shraddha Kapoor made a statement in a golden gown with white thread work. She opted for a choker and a centre-parted hairdo.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas got clicked as a power coupls. Chopra was wearing a shimmery outfit with a sheer skirt and a trail. She opted for makeup in brown tones. Jonas stunned in a black suit.
Alia Bhatt turned heads around in a silver saree with gathered details and paired it with a strapless blouse. She accessorised her outfit with a choker set. The actor was accompanied by her mother Soni Razdan.
Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra stole the show with their charm. Kiara was in a golden-silver lehenga featuring a studded blouse. Malhotra made a statement in a kurta pyjama with a short bandhgala jacket.
Gauri Khan, Aryan Khan and Suhana Khan posed with none other than Salman Khan. Gauri donned a rustic golden gown, Suhana looked gorgeous in a red strapless dress featuring a corset and thigh-high slit and Aryan posed for cameras in black pants and a shirt with a wine blazer. Salman Khan was in a blue suit.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan also attended the launch event. Rai was in a green traditional outfit while Aaradhya made an appearance in a pink anarkali suit.
Nita Ambani donned a royal blue silk saree with intricate thread work. She opted for a bun decorated with flowers.
Gigi Hadid was also among the attendees at the launch event. She wore the couture from the collectoion of Rahul Mishra. It was a hand embroidered ‘Himachal’ trench paired with coordinating trousers and bralette.
On the second day of the launch of the NMACC, Zendaya was spotted wearing a sequin saree paired with golden blouse. Tom Holland was spotted in a black tuxedo.
Bollywood celebrities including Janhvi Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Malaika Arora, Kriti Sanon, Rashmika Madanna, Shweta Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar arrived mostly in golden shimmery and sequin gowns and jumpsuits and shined on the second day of the event.
While veteran ctor Rekha arrived in a green Kanjivaram saree and looked gorgeous as always.
