Prabhas, Critic I say and Saif Ali Khan lead Adipurush the talk of the town. The film is one of the most awaited films of the year. But a lot of the time it causes controversy. A court in Nepal later ordered the ban on Hindi films to be lifted. And now Nepal has resumed the screening of Hindi films but not of Adipurush.
Nepal resumes screening of Hindi films, but not Adipurush
Entertainment News is full of Adipurush updates. Before the movie was released, the movie was banned in Nepal because the movie featured dialogue of Sita who is the daughter of India. Sita is said to have been born in Janakpur in Nepal. And therefore it does not like the mayor of Nepal, who stopped the screening of films. While the Nepali court ordered the lifting of the ban on the films, the mayor revealed that the Om Raut-directed film Adipurush will still not be screened in Nepal.
Ban on Hindi films; Mayor’s statements
The Nepali Film Association issued a statement saying that all foreign films will be screened, but not Adipurush. Sita’s dialogue as India’s daughter led to the ban. Kathmandu Mayor Balendra Shah is determined not to screen the film and is also ready to face the consequences of the same. Speaking of lifting the ban, QFX Cinema, which is located in Sundhara in Nepal, is screening Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan starrer Zara Hatke Zara Bachke on Friday.
Regarding the court order to lift the ban, the judge in Nepal said that he believes that no one is above the nation and nationality. It is their fundamental right to do business freely following Nepali law. A Nepali court says a film approved by the censor board cannot be banned because it has already been certified by a court.
Meanwhile, Adipurush’s business is going down a lot. Since Monday, the movie is losing its business and even the master move of reducing the ticket prices is not working in their favour. Om Raut and Manoj Muntashir were secured by the police due to threats to their lives.
