Ranbir Kapoor is amongst the Bollywood actors who have kept themselves away from social media. And his mother Neetu Kapoor feels that he has taken the right decision by not being on Instagram.

In an interview with a news portal, Neetu reportedly said that during earlier times, actors did not have Instagram or other social media accounts that allowed fans to have a big craze for them. According to her, the curiosity for the stars’ personal lives as well as the urge to see them on screen was also high.

Elaborating further, the veteran actress added that nowadays, with actors posting regular updates and photos with fans and followers on Instagram, they have become way more accessible. According to her, it has reduced the craze of fans to see them on screen. Keeping in mind all of this, Neetu thinks Ranbir has done the right thing by staying away from Instagram.

Ranbir recently tied the knot with Alia Bhatt in an intimate wedding ceremony with just close friends and family members in attendance. The pictures and videos from their dreamy wedding are still doing rounds on social media.

On the work front, Neetu will next be seen in Raj Mehta’s ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ co-starring Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani in lead roles. Ranbir, on the other hand, has films like, ‘Brahmastra’ with Alia, Luv Ranjan’s next with Shraddha Kapoor, ‘Animal’ with Rashmika Mandanna and ‘Shamshera’ with Vaani Kapoor.
