NBC SPORTS LAUNCHES 2022 NFL HALL OF FAME SEASON WITH FOOTBALL NIGHT IN AMERICA AT CANTON LOCATION FOR FIRST TIME
Jaguars-Raiders coverage begins Thursday, Aug. 4, on NBC and the Peacock with Football night in America at 7:00 p.m. ET, followed by the 2022 Game Hall of Fame at 8:00 p.m. ET

STAMFORD, Connecticut – July 28, 2022 – One week from today, NBC Sports begins its coverage of the 2022 NFL season with the 2022 Hall of Fame Game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders from Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio. Coverage begins Thursday, August 4 on NBC and the Peacock with Football night in America at 7:00 p.m. ET, followed by game coverage at 8:00 p.m. ET.
The convening of the pre-season competition will be the new one Sunday night football announced a team of Mike Tirico, Chris Collinsworth and Melissa Starkwith Terry McAuley serves as a policy analyst. This will be the first time the team will call a game together.
Football night, the most-watched studio show in sports, will be on location in Canton for the first time. This will be the first time for the new Football night the team is together. Earlier this year, it was announced that Taylor was the new host of the show and Garrett the new analyst.
Correspondent for NBC News Stephanie Gosk will also be on site in Canton to report on the news and festivities surrounding the game TODAY and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt.

Sunday night football is the NFL’s top primetime package, has won the Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Live Sports Series a record 11 times and is the #1 primetime television show in all key metrics for an unprecedented 11 consecutive years. In 2021 Sunday night football averaged a total audience of 19.3 million viewers on NBC, Peacock and other digital platforms.

Since its creation in 2006. Football night is the most watched studio show in sports. In 2021, the program averaged 7.1 million viewers, up 18% from the previous season.
For the second straight season, the Peacock will carry all NBC live Sunday night football games, including the playoffs, and Football night. The exceptional Peacock Sunday Night Football Final returns in 2022 with subsequent extended post-game coverage OJAG every week.
Following the Hall of Fame Game, NBC Sports begins coverage of the 2022 regular season with the NFL Kickoff on Thursday, Sept. 8, featuring the Buffalo Bills at the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
