We all grew up watching the powerful Shaktiman save society. Starring Mukesh Khanna, Shaktimaan gave us India’s first superhero who made everyone’s childhood fun. Now a trilogy is being made around Shaktimaan. It was Mukesh Khanna who made the announcement about the same on his YouTube channel. However, there seems to be a major delay in the making of the film. Ranveer Singh was also rumored to be the lead in this one. Now Mukesh Khanna has shared an update.
What is the budget of Shaktimaan movie?
On his YouTube channel Bheeshm, Mukesh Khanna shared that the deal has been signed and is being produced by Sony Pictures. He also revealed the budget of the film and it will leave you shocked. He said that the film is being made according to international standards. He revealed, “One film will cost ₹200-300 crore and it will be made by Sony Pictures, the one that made Spider-Man.” He mentioned that it was initially delayed due to the pandemic. The film is expected to be directed by Basil Joseph.
Who will play Shaktimaan?
On who will play Shaktiman and whether he will reprise the role, Mukesh Khanna said he can’t divulge any details but he will definitely be a part of the film. In what capacity, he did not reveal. He also said that he is currently not allowed to appear in Shaktimaan’s attire as the makers don’t want any comparison. He further added, “But the film is coming, very soon there will be a final announcement where you will know who will star in it, who will direct it. It is being done internationally, as it deserves. Ranveer Singh is a part of it or not is not yet known but fans are quite excited about this update shared by Mukesh Khanna.
Shaktimaan was one of the most watched shows that aired till 2005. Kids and everyone else were glued to the TV sets to watch the show on Doordarshan. Talking about Mukesh Khanna, he was also a part of another very successful show Mahabharat. He plays the role of Bhishma in the show.
