Former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is all set to bankroll films under his production venture Dhoni Entertainment. The cricketer has been in the news for some time now to produce films and it has come true. On Friday, MS Dhoni announced his first project under his new production company. The skipper will foray into the film industry by producing a Tamil film under his home banner.
The cricketer-turned-producer took to social media to make the big announcement. He announced the title and cast of the film also that it is a Tamil film directed by Ramesh Tamilman. The first film under MS Dhoni’s first production is titled Let’s Get Married. Harish Kalyan former Bigg Boss Tamil contestant and Love Today fame Ivana are reported to be playing the lead role. The rest of the cast and crew have yet to be officially announced. The upcoming Tamil film is touted as a romantic drama.

The makers revealed the title with an animated poster and expressed their excitement by sharing Dhoni Entertainment’s first production titled LGM – Let’s Get Married. The poster suggests that the film will be based on a journey. The film was launched today in Chennai after a pooja ceremony and has already gone on floors. The upcoming Tamil film is MS Dhoni’s production debut for his company Dhoni Production, the managing director of which is his wife Sakshi Dhoni.
According to reports, Sakshi wrote the concept of the film, which was then developed into a story by director Ramesh Tamilmani. The director revealed that the moment he read the concept, he knew it was special. It was fresh and had all the elements to be fun family entertainment. Thamilmani had earlier produced a graphic novel titled Atharva – The Origin starring MS Dhoni.
