Mohit Raina, who rose to fame with his role as Mahadev in Devo Ke Dev Mahadev, shared his two cents on the failure of Prabhas-starrer Adipurush, saying that the makers are responsible for the failure and that they could have been a little more responsible , while making The Movie. Adipurush was released last month and turned out to be the biggest disappointment. The movie was supposed to be Prabhas’ massive movie but unfortunately it was a big flop. The audience criticized the makers for mocking the Ramayana mythology and mentioned that Prabhas and Kriti Sanon were not suitable for Raghav and Seetha.
Speaking exclusively to DNA, Mohit Raina was asked about the failure of Adipurush and what he thinks could have been done to save the film from flopping. The actor said, “When you’re creative with a certain subject, you make it for the audience. So creators are responsible and accountable to our audience.” Giving food as an example to explain his point, Mohit said, “When we go out to eat, we either order our food or ask the chef to recommend his best dish. When we didn’t like something about the dish, we asked the Chef to correct it and he did. Because at the end of the day, we deliver to their customers – the public.”
Adipurush, which was made on a budget of 500 crores reportedly failed to even make 100 crores at the Hindi box office, Mohit said that the makers are responsible for making a bad film, “So definitely the makers should be responsible and they you must understand that we are here to serve the public. Agarpublic hi dekhne ke liye nahi hogi, toh hum banayege kis ke liye (Who cares if we don’t have an audience for our content).
Mohit has been in the industry for quite some time and always manages to win over his audience with his choice of work, he was last seen in Ishq E Naadan.
