Mike Tindall Celebrated His I’m a Celebrity Exit With a Burger and a Pair of Charity Underwear

For weeks, royal husband Mike Tindall was separated from his family while he participated in the 22nd season of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, the classic British reality show where stars brave challenges in an Australian jungle. But on Saturday’s episode, Tindall was voted off the show, just barely missing the season finale episode, which aired on Sunday. But the  44-year-old former rugby player didn’t seem too sad about his loss. The episode ended with footage of an embrace between him and his wife Zara Tindall, and he was heard on camera saying, “I have missed you so much.”

Zara flew to Australia to reunite with Mike, and the pair traveled to the JW Marriott Gold Coast resort, where they were greeted with cheers. On Sunday, Mike posted a picture of the pair enjoying lunch at a nearby cafe. Mike also shared a picture of the latte, english muffin, and burger he was happy to eat after weeks of surviving only on reality show provisions.

After a few months of speculation, ITV announced that Mike would be a member of the newest season earlier this month, becoming the first member of the extended royal family to appear in such a program. Over the weeks the show was on the air, Mike battled with spiders, showed off his ability as a rapper, and drank a disgusting smoothie. He also shared a few entertaining stories about life in the royal family, including the time that he split his pants while dancing at a wedding, accidentally showing his underwear—which read “nibble my nuts”—to Zara’s mother, Princess Anne.

In a Monday interview with ITV’s This Morning, Mike announced that his cohosts on the podcast The Good, the Bad, and the Rugby were watching the show and have been busy in his absence. In collaboration with novelty underwear brand Budgy Smuggler, they are selling two pairs, one with “Nibble My Nuts” and another with “These Are Not My Wife’s,” with proceeds to benefit the Cure Parkinson’s charity.
