Indian cricketer Axar Patel got married to his wife Meha in a private ceremony in Vadodara, Gujarat on January 26. Axar is a regular member of the Indian cricket team in all three formats of the game and took a break from cricketing action by missing the New Zealand series.
On Saturday (January 28), Axar took to social media and posted a heartfelt caption for his wife calling her his ‘best friend.’ The star Indian all-rounder also called his wedding as the ‘most magical day’ of his life while sharing some unseen pictures from the grand event.

“Married my best friend and it was the most magical day of our life. Thank you to all of our family and friends for making it even more special,” wrote Axar on social media.

Axar made his debut for India in 2014 but has grown to prominence in the last two years. His Test debut against England in 2021 saw him become a leading part of India’s bowling attack in the longer format of the game as he wreaked havoc on the visiting batting to help India seal a memorable series victory.

Axar made the most of Ravindra Jadeja’s absence and has impressed with both bat and ball in ODI and T20I cricket. Even after Jadeja’s return from injury, it will be hard to keep Axar out of the team due to his impressive performances off late.

Various clips from the event had gone viral on social media with one particularly showing the Indian cricketer dancing with some cricket moves.

Axar is expected to return to the Indian team for the Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia which starts from 9th February.

Another Indian player, KL Rahul got married last week as he tied the knot to long-term girlfriend Athiya Shetty in Khandala, a town near Mumbai.
