Manoj Bajpayee maintains a low profile and down-to-earth attitude despite huge popularity. He is a critically acclaimed actor and chooses to speak only when necessary. The National Award winning actor has several amazing films like Raajneeti, Gangs of Wasseypur, Satya and more. Not only in films, he has also showcased his brilliant work in the digital space featuring in web series like The Family Man and others. The actor, who is promoting his upcoming film Gulmohar, recalled the time when he went to a disco for the first time.
In a recent interview with Curly Tales, Manoj Bajpayee recalled the day when Shah Rukh Khan took him to a disco. He has never seen such a life as he hails from a small town in Bihar. He spent a long time in Delhi because of his college and theatre, but he had never gone to theatre. Manoj revealed that it was Shah Rukh Khan who took him to a disco for the first time. The actor mentioned that he was wearing slippers and somehow they managed to arrange their shoes.
Manoj Bajpayee added that he learned exactly what a club was when he went to a club called Ghungroo in Delhi. He remembered people dancing there, but he was in the corner sipping wine. So this was the first time Manoj Bajpayee experienced disco. He rose to fame with the 1998 film Satya directed by Ram Gopal Varma.
He is currently gearing up for the premiere of his upcoming film Gulmohar. The family drama also stars Sharmila Tagore, Suraj Sharma, Amol Palekar, Kaveri Seth and Simran. It is produced by Star Studios in association with Chalkboard Entertainment and Autonomous Works. Gulmohar will be released on Disney+ Hotstar on March 3.
Meanwhile, Manoj also has a third season of the popular web show The Family Man created by Raj & DK. After two successful seasons, the audience is already waiting for “Family Man 3”.
