‘Love Is Blind’ Star Paul Says Vanessa Lachey Had ‘Personal Bias’ In Micah Reunion Exchange (Exclusive)

SPOILER ALERT: If you haven’t seen season 4 of the The love is blind and the special gathering, proceed with caution.

After a delay of almost two hours, The love is blind fans were finally treated to a drama-filled reunion special late Sunday night. In a particularly tense moment, Paul Pedon was confronted about his post-wedding comments about his ex Mika Lussier, in which he said he couldn’t imagine her as a mother.

Micah called the comments “the worst thing” he could say about her, claiming she wasn’t aware of them until the finale aired on Friday. Reunion co-host Vanessa Lachey repeatedly pressed Paul about his reason for not sharing his concerns with Micah before or after their wedding.

ET’s Will Marfugi spoke exclusively with Paul and Micah on the red carpet after the meeting aired, where Paul addressed Vanessa’s comments during the exchange.

“I was like, ‘Fuck it, man.’ They kept drilling, drilling it on me,” Paul told ET. “I think I’ve made my point. I think Vanessa may have had a bit of a personal bias in this scenario, or at least that’s what I noticed. I do not know. But that’s just my guess based on how she continued to train in it after I gave my full rationale as to why I felt that way.”

Paul added that he feels he “owns as much as possible” of his responsibility in the exchange and “takes responsibility to the full capacity that I feel I have been owed.”

Paul admitted that during technical delays from Netflix, he drank three cups of coffee and jokingly said, “I was definitely sweating” when talking about his breakup with Micah. As for the additional frustrations of the reunion, Paul said he didn’t feel like he was given the opportunity to talk about everything fully.

“I think it was extremely reductive the way they dismissed all the nuance and complexity of why I said no,” he shared of his moment at the altar. “It was worded that the reason I said no was because she wasn’t up to the role of a mother, nurturing atmosphere and whatever. It was one piece of the puzzle. It was incredibly complicated, but that was the answer. That was the reason. And that’s only part of the story.”

As for Paul’s co-star and friend Zach Goitowski’s claims that Micah never intended to marry Paul and was there for the wrong reasons, Paul said that wasn’t a factor in his wedding day decision.

“It only really came out afterwards. We heard a lot of things that I thought were a little disturbing from third parties who claimed that she told them such things,” Paul shared. “So yeah, it was rough to hear and it definitely made me question things, no doubt.”

Mika also spoke to ET after the event, swapping out her red dress for a tan.

“I had to get rid of the revenge dress. I was over it,” she said, laughing, noting that she “absolutely [did] don’t retaliate during the reunion.

As for Zach’s comments about her not being there for the right reasons, Micah called out her co-star’s claims.

“I feel like his comment was so out of left field that I don’t even want to give it time. I don’t even know where that came from,” Micah said. “No one wanted to admit it because probably no one said it. I think he was making a lot of comments to hurt other people throughout the whole thing. I don’t understand, but it’s none of my business. Not true .”

The love is blind season 4 and the reunion special are currently streaming on Netflix.
