Be careful! The chief executive’s office is warning people against fake online interviews of city leader John Lee Ka-chiu.

The office again warned the public to be vigilant against online hoax advertisements purporting to be interviews with Lee and urged people not to believe false information.

This is the second time the service has warned against fraudulent online ads since mid-September.

Lee said fraudulent advertisements and web pages with Lee’s name and news photos have been found again on some online platforms, leading users to click and link to suspicious trading platforms.

He urged the public not to enter suspicious websites and not to provide personal information to websites from unknown sources through such advertisements.

He said they did not issue or authorize such advertisements and Lee never conducted the interviews as alleged.

The police have been notified.
