French fashion show production company La Mode en Images — known for its work with brands including Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga — is opening offices in New York and Dubai, as demand for physical experiences continues to surge as pandemic restrictions have lifted.

The New York office will open this month, and Dubai by the end of the year. La Mode en Images already has offices in Paris, Shanghai and Beijing, where it employs 90 people. It produced shows for Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Off-White, Valentino, Loewe, Courrèges, Balmain, Coperni and Rick Owens during Paris Fashion Week this season (Balenciaga’s mud-filled showspace was among those to hit the headlines).

“At a time when physical experiences are more essential than ever in luxury brands’ communications, having dedicated local teams is crucial to support our clients internationally,” Paul-Emmanuel Reiffers, president of La Mode en Images and parent company Mazarine, tells Vogue Business.

La Mode en Images already has an established presence in the US, where events have, until now, been produced by the Paris team or in collaboration with local partners such as fashion services agency KCD. The French company was behind the Balenciaga resort show on Wall Street in May — the first catwalk ever held on America’s famous trading floor.
