Kartik Aaryan is one of the busiest young actors in Bollywood currently. His last film in the form of the family entertainer Shehzada released last month. The actor will now be seen in Satyaprem Ki Katha, opposite Kiara Advani.
Kartik Aaryan starrer Satyaprem Ki Katha to be a tribute to Dharmendra in Satyakam
The title Satyaprem Ki Katha brings back memories of the late legendary filmmaker Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s iconic Satyakam, which saw the veteran actor Dharmendra play the lead.
The iconic Dharmendra exclusively says, “It is far easier to play larger-than-life characters than real-life characters.” Kartik is getting to know the truth behind Dharamji’s statement in his next film, Satyaprem Ki Katha, directed by the very talented Sameer Viwans, where the star-actor plays the title role Satyaprakash while Kiara Advani plays Katha.
It is no coincidence that Dharmendra’s name was Satyaprakash in his most iconic film Satyakam. Kartik’s character in working-class clothes and mannerisms represents the common man’s spirit and determination to walk on the straight and narrow path.
When I tell Dharamji about Kartik’s role, his voice brims over with affection. “He is a hardworking, sincere young man. Usske chehre main ek masoomiyat aur imaandari hai (his face communicates an innocence and honesty). My fans like me for the same qualities.”
Apart from Satyaprem Ki Katha, Kartik also has a yet-untitled film with filmmaker Kabir Khan.
Satyaprem Ki Katha will be released in theatres on June 29.
