Nikhil Siddharth talks about getting calls from Bollywood
When Nikhil Siddhartha’s Karthikeya 2 was initially released in Hindi, the business was quite low, only around Rs 7 lakhs. It was also pitted against Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Laal Singh Chadha and Akshay Kumar-starrer Raksha Bandhan. However, after the second day, the film started performing well at the box office. And this is all thanks to the word-of-mouth publicity of the audience who saw the film in theaters. The actor is surprised and shocked by the overwhelming response from the masses in the Hindi belt for Karthikeya 2. He calls it a dream and jokes that he hopes no one wakes him up from it. When asked about his response from Bollywood, Nikhil Siddhartha revealed that although no one has made it public, he has received many calls and shared that he was touched by their gesture.
Karthikeya 2 starrer coming to Bollywood?
While talking about the response to Karthikeya 2, Nikhil Siddhartha also dropped a big bomb about his Bollywood film debut. Yes, you read that right! Nikhil shared that the boundaries between Bollywood and Tollywood are blurring. Now everything has become Indian cinema. He wants his films to appeal to every audience. Nikhil Siddhartha has revealed that he has been approached by two of the big producers in Bollywood. “Two very big Bollywood production houses approached me for their upcoming films. I cannot name them as I have not signed on the dotted line,” he told Bollywood Hungama.
