Kangana Ranaut seems to have made a big revelation about Brahmastra. The actress took to Instagram to allege that the makers of the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer bought movie reviews, may have faked box office collections and spent a huge amount to buy corporate tickets on advance bookings.
In her Instagram post, Kangana said that director Ayan Mukerji burnt Rs 600 crore while making Brahmastra. She said the director took 12 years to make the film, changed 14 DOPs (director of photography), shot for more than 400 days and changed 85 assistant directors.
She further said that the makers of Brahmastra have asked southern actors, writers and directors to promote their film but they will not hire a competent writer, director, actors and other talents. She also said that those who call Ayan Mukerji a genius should be jailed immediately. She accused the makers of trying to exploit religious sentiments by changing the name of Ranbir’s character from Jalaluddin Rumi to Shiva at the last minute.
Kangana called the makers of Brahmastra opportunists, devoid of creativity, hungry for success and greedy people. She further said that this is not a manipulation but a well-thought-out strategy to call “din ko raat and raat ko din”. She also attacked Karan Johar, saying that he is more interested in everyone’s sex life than films and scripts, saying that he himself buys reviews, stars and fake collections.
It remains to be seen how the makers of Brahmastra react to Kangana’s explosive claims in their recently released film. It stars Ranbir, Alia, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna, Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan in a cameo. The film is said to have a budget of Rs 40 crore across all languages.
