Kangana Ranaut, who is often seen bashing the Bollywood brigade and Karan Johar films, recently had only words of praises for filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The actress shared a long note on social media appreciating the director-producer’s passion for Indian cinema and also added that she regrets rejecting offers made to her by the talented filmmaker.

Kangana Ranaut in a long note explained about her admiration and love for Sanjay Leela Bhansali as she wrote, “I deeply admire Shri Sanjay Leela Bhansali as an artist, he never fakes success or glory… He is the most genuine and indulgent artist living in the film industry right now… Nobody that I know who is so helplessly in love with the magic of cinema and so driven by his passion… Above all he minds his business, intense creativity and rare integrity… He is a living legend… I just love Sanjay sir… love <3.”
She further went on to recall the time when she was offered SLB projects as she added, “Over the years there were song/roles that were offered to me by SLB production, for some or the other reason I couldn’t do them, still today if I want to see him or go to his house just to chat with him, he sits before me like a living God smiling gently, showering kindness and admiration through his eyes, man of few words SLB ji is simply wonderful <3<3<3”.
Interestingly, when Sanjay Leela Bhansali collaborated with Alia Bhatt for Gangubai Kathiawadi in 2022, Kangana had called out the film accusing it of wrong casting stating that Alia was not the right choice for the role. However, the film went on to become a hit and was also responsible for bringing many people to the theatre again.
Coming to Kangana Ranaut, she will next be seen in Chandramukhi 2, co-starring Raghava Lawrence. She also has the film Tejas and Emergency in the pipeline.
