While talking to an online entertainment news portal, Madhoo was asked about male dominance in the film industry. The Shaakuntalam actress says male dominance exists everywhere. Talking about the industry being a man’s world, Madhoo shared that she never questioned it. She says she never thought about equal pay when playing the female lead in movies. Madhoo says she just wanted to be on screen and considered it a gift. After getting films, she never struggles for anything. Madhoo shares that when she worked in films, it was a time for action films and actresses had relatively less screen time and songs. She thought that movies are carried by characters as they fight, save, romance and do everything in the movie. She says it was good for her that they got paid well for it.

Madhoo also shared that whenever a film flopped or flopped, it was called the film of the character acting in it. So it was called Akshay Kumar’s film, Ajay Devgn’s film and so on. She says she was never accused of anything. Madhoo shared that she worked and was quite busy for about 10 years working well. She adds that some people would praise the pairing when a film becomes a hit, but they never discredited her for anything and hence she never questioned it. She further adds, “Actresses like Kangana Ranaut, Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt actually draw crowds to the theatres, so they should definitely demand higher remuneration.” The Shaakuntalam beauty says that if people are coming to watch them on screen, they should they want more money. In her time, people never came to watch her alone, it was always a jodi that she shared, giving examples of Ajay-Madhoo, Akshay-Madhoo and so on.
