Kaali, a documentary, ran into trouble due to its poster, which was recently removed. The Cabbage movie poster shows its eponymous goddess as if depicted in her warrior form with one tiny change – it also shows Goddess Kaali smoking. Leena Manimekalaithe director of the film and a famous name in the documentary the country chain came under huge fire for the same, with several people calling for the poster of cabbage to be taken down with immediate effect, and more than a few are even calling for the director’s arrest due to the way in which documentary Kaali depicts Hindu deity.
Arrest Leena Manimekalai tweets over Kaali movie poster

Why are Hindu gods, goddesses and symbols of faith mocked, ridiculed, humiliated at the altar of ‘liberal creativity’? Should Hindus be punished for their tolerance? Aren’t the Hindus forced to take a firmer stand? https://t.co/B5wS8J7xJu
