This sent shockwaves through the television industry as Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the most popular television shows in the country and an ensemble as big as ever seen in a show. Jennifer Mistry was away from Mumbai when the news broke and now the actress has finally recorded her statement with the police.
Jennifer Mistry Bansival records her statement to the police
While talking to an online entertainment news portal, Jennifer Mistry revealed that she recently received a call from the Powai police. She was asked to return to Mumbai. Jennifer was asked to come to Powai police station and record her statement. The actress says that yesterday she went to the station and they recorded her testimony. Jennifer reveals that she got there by 12pm and her statement was made by 6.15pm.
“I gave them my full statement. I was there for 6 hours. Now the law will take its course,” she told the ETimes. Jennifer also adds that the police informed her that if she needed anything else, they would get back to her. So far, the actress has only recorded her statement to the police.
Jennifer Mistry accuses Asit Modi of sexual harassment
The actress revealed that Asit Modi would pass comments about her looks and features, which she later realized were sexual harassment. Jennifer claims that he also once invited her to drink with her in his hotel room. Jennifer also expressed her sadness that no one on the team is openly supporting her as they all have to save their jobs. Mandar Chandwadkar, who was close to Jennifer, also asked her to consider the show when she drafted the case against the makers after she quit the show.
On the other hand, the directing team has leveled accusations against Jennifer, claiming that she is abusive to everyone and lacks discipline. These claims were criticized by former director Malav Raja. After Jennifer, Monica Bhadoria and Priya Rajda Ahuja also shared their trials of working on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.
