Fans are in love with Vijay Deverakonda’s fighter avatar. It received appreciation from all corners. However, some are comparing the trailer to that of Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi. The Ravi Teja starrer is also about a fighter raised by a single mother. Hence the comparisons. However, now Puri Jagannadh has given a clarification. Is Liger the same as ANOTA?
As reported by mirchi9.com, director Puri Jagannadh has rubbished all the rumors that Liger is the updated version of Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi (ANOTA). The director has stated that his film is completely new and has not taken parts from previous films. Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi which had Ravi Teja. Asin, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha is also directed by Puri Jagannadh. Liger mania takes over

Liger is a pan-Indian film that will be released in multiple languages. It will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. This film also marked Vijay Deverakonda’s entry into Bollywood. Professional boxer Mike Tyson has a cameo in the film. At the trailer launch event, Vijay Deverakonda was completely emotional. In Hyderabad he got a huge reception and could not hold back his tears.
