By Sneha Saha: Planning to upgrade your old iPhone to the latest iPhone 13? To get the best value for your old iPhone, it is better to sell it separately on websites like Cashify and then use that money plus more to buy the iPhone 13. This is because a trade-in and exchange offer provides significantly lower value when compared to websites like Cashify and even CashOnPick.
So, if you are planning to sell your old iPhone, first sell the device and then go ahead and buy the new iPhone 13 from the platform that’s offering the maximum discount. Several e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, iStore, among others are offering discounts worth rupees thousands on the iPhone 13. These discounts are mostly inclusive of bank offers, mainly from HDFC.
But before selling your old iPhone, you must wipe the phone entirely. Deleting your personal photos, accounts, contacts, and everything else stored on the iPhone is extremely important before handing over the phone to a retailer or a second-hand phone buyer.
Here is how you can erase photos, accounts, and all other data stored in the iPhone in just a few simple steps.
Step 1: Unlock the iPhone and head over to the Settings menu.
Step 2: Click on the General option.
Step 3: Next, scroll to the bottom and click on Reset option
Step 4: Click on Erase All Content and Settings option.
Ste 5: Next, enter your passcode when requested
Step 6: Then enter your Apple ID password to erase the iPhone and remove it from your account.
Step 7: Lastly, click on the Erase option to complete the wipe-out process.
The reset process will take a few minutes, so, wait for the wipe to happen successfully. Once the iPhone is reset you will see the iOS welcome ‘Namaste’ screen on your iPhone. That shows that your phone is ready for sale or trade-in.
If you are concerned about your personal data, manually deleting your photos, accounts and other details is also an option. But, that will take a much longer time in comparison.
