iPhone tips: How to factory reset iPhone and erase all data

Here is how you can erase photos, accounts, and all other data stored in the iPhone in just a few simple steps.

Step 1: Unlock the iPhone and head over to the Settings menu.

Step 2: Click on the General option.

Step 3: Next, scroll to the bottom and click on Reset option

Step 4: Click on Erase All Content and Settings option.

Ste 5: Next, enter your passcode when requested

Step 6: Then enter your Apple ID password to erase the iPhone and remove it from your account.

Step 7: Lastly, click on the Erase option to complete the wipe-out process.

The reset process will take a few minutes, so, wait for the wipe to happen successfully. Once the iPhone is reset you will see the iOS welcome ‘Namaste’ screen on your iPhone. That shows that your phone is ready for sale or trade-in.

If you are concerned about your personal data, manually deleting your photos, accounts and other details is also an option. But, that will take a much longer time in comparison.
