“Lesson on classy outfits versus tacky outfits,” fashion stylist Jen said at the beginning of a TikTok video uploaded to her 72k followers.
Referring to a picture of Kim Kardashian, she wrote: “Love Kim, but this outfit just looks cheap and tacky.”
Kim wore a short black pencil skirt, a black lace see-through top with a bra underneath, paired with a black clutch.
The fashion expert showed an example of what she believes Kim should’ve worn as an alternative, writing: “Simple design but still sexy.”
The look was more scaled back, but gave the same feel that Kim was likely going for.
The model in the image wore a black spaghetti strap bodycon dress, with black, strappy heels and a small black purse.
The style guru then went on to say you should “never wear a revealing top and shorts together.”
She showed a woman wearing a top with abstract cutouts that revealed the chest area, along with Daisy Duke shorts.
Next, she cut to a woman that had on what she considered to be “the perfect combo” – a stylish shirt with shorts.
The woman in the photo had on a white button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up, tucked into a pair of denim distressed shorts that were on the longer side. A black trendy belt tied the look together.
Lastly, Jen compared two women in similar outfits – all-white suit looks with matching blazers and slacks.
For the woman who paired the outfit with a stringy criss-cross top that showed off her chest, Jen noted that the top choice was “completely wrong.”
Instead – according to Jen – the other woman, who paired her suit with a delicate lace top, nailed the look.
“Sensual just by changing the top and better fabric,” she wrote.
Viewers in the comments section of the video were fans of Jen’s tips.
