I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! winner Jill Scott has opened up about her fiancée’s fears over a potential break-up, which came about when Scott was trying to hide her proposal plans.
Scott and fiancée Shelly Unitt got engaged in March 2020 when Scott slipped an engagement ring into a glass of champagne at the Titanic Spa in Huddersfield.
But in the days and weeks leading up to that beautiful moment, Unitt thought something was wrong as Scott was acting “so weird” while trying to keep the upcoming proposal plans a secret. Scott discussed the moment in a new interview with Hello!

“I was so scared of losing it, Shelly became convinced I was going to break up with her because I was acting so weird,” Scott said.
Unitt added: “Everywhere she went in the house, the rucksack went with her and if we were going out, she’d spend ages trying to work out where to put it.”
She continued: “I honestly had no idea. I just thought she was leaving me!”

In the time since, Scott has won the European Championships with England’s Lionesses and been crowned Queen of the Jungle in this year’s edition of I’m a Celeb. The couple have been so busy that they haven’t even had their engagement party yet.
But while they begin to put those plans in motion, Scott revealed that she will indeed be inviting her I’m a Celeb campmates to her wedding.
“We will invite my I’m a Celeb campmates and their families. You become really good friends because you’re together so much, it accelerates the relationship. We had a great group; the campmates and the families, everyone got on so well,” Scott said.
I’m a Celebrity will return next year on ITV1 and ITVX.
