I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! has confirmed that comedian Seann Walsh and politician Matt Hancock have joined the series as late entries, with the pair set to enter the jungle on Wednesday (November 9) night.
Hosts Ant and Dec teased the arrival of two further contestants earlier in the show, but their identities were delayed until the very end of the episode, with the pair showing their faces in a pre-recorded clip.
Seann referenced his controversial moment when appearing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, hoping that his stint on I’m a Celebrity will “change opinions” and be a “new start”. Matt said the people in the camp “will see me warts and all”, adding that he doesn’t think he has any “fears or phobias”.
The other campmates were left none the wiser about the identities of the late entries, only being told that they will be taking their place in the next Bushtucker Trial.

Upon his announcement in the show, Seann said: “As you can imagine I was very scared after the last time I was on a big show because the fallout was not something you would want to go back to.
“The idea of sitting around the fire with people who have probably won gold medals, pop stars and actors putting the world to rights is exciting.”
Matt was similarly excited by the chance of appearing on the show, saying: “Lots of people have a view on me from being Health Secretary in the pandemic dealing with some very difficult issues, but that’s not the whole story.
“I am looking forward to throwing myself into it all like I do everything in life. You can’t hide anything in the jungle, you see somebody warts and all.”

Tonight’s trial was undertaken by Babatúndé Aléshé, who revisited his fear in Horrifying Heights after being selected by the public last night.
Tasked with collecting stars on a metal contraption, the comedian had to navigate himself across narrow platforms, a feat made even harder by the pouring rain.
He atoned for his withdrawal in the pre-camp challenge, collecting a maximum of 10 meals for the group.
Elsewhere, the camp competed for two luxurious sleeping spots in the RV, while tensions boiled between Boy George and Charlene after the former took issue with the regime in the camp.
I’m a Celebrity airs at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
