I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! viewers were sat on the edge of their seats watching Babatunde Aleshe overcome his fears and undertake a trial up high in the jungle.
The Celebrity Gogglebox star was tasked with collecting stars from boxes attached onto a rotating disk which was several metres above the ground.
Babatunde had been voted in by viewers to do the trial, after failing to do the very first task, in which Charlene White and Jill Scott had to walk a plank suspended over a 32-strey building and hang off the edge for 60 seconds.
But he managed to overcome his fears in tonight’s episode, later sharing how proud he was, to Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, after they showered him in support from the ground below.
However, his task, aptly named Horrifying Heights, was made even harder by the pouring rain.
The rain was lashing around him as he tried to collect 10 stars in 10 minutes, and many viewers were concerned for him as he battled the slippery metal.
This comes after viewers criticised the show’s first Bushtucker trial in which Chris Moyles struggled to breathe after he was placed in small chamber which was filling with cold water.
‘Anyone else think given the rain and how slippery it is Babatunde should be allowed to crawl,’ one person wrote.
Another penned: ‘That rain tho???? Surely they should have cancelled this challenge.’
‘With this rain surely there should’ve been exemptions here? Extra time, delay the trial? That rain is so unsafe,’ someone else wrote.
Another viewer commented: ‘Surely that’s not health and safety in that rain.’
Meanwhile other viewers were a little sceptical about the rain itself, noting that it began just as Babatunde started the challenge, and by the time he reached the ground after collecting his stars, the rain had stopped.
‘How ironic that the rain had magically stopped,’ someone wrote, while another commented: ‘So it started to rain at the start of the trail.. and stopped at the end? Did the producers decide to sprinkle some drama on the trial?’
