The new Bollywood edition of Ranking, Vikram Vedhaa, didn’t start on a good note with its opening day netting just ₹10 crore. More than that, what was troubling was how Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan leading role, dir Pushkar Gayahtriwho was also the author of the original Vikram Vedha in tamil, failed to provide the necessary boost in the evening and night shows after a low occupancy of only 15-20% in the morning itself. Also, barring a few multiplexes in A centers, the film was unimpressive across the board. The Vikram Vedha Collection Box Day 2 needed a major boost if it had any hope of recovering in the long run.
Vikram Vedha grows 25-30% at the box office on day 2
Well, the encouraging news is that Vikram Vedha delivered just the jump it so badly needed on day two with growth in the range of 25-30%. Even better, the growth is evenly split between large multiplexes and mainstream chains, with the biggest spike coming from Mumbai, Delhi, UP, South and West Bengal, the latter two being the best performing markets so far. Yes, an even bigger jump would be more than welcome, but these are encouraging signs for the Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer, which sets it up for a promising weekend.

Vikram Vedha Collection Box Day 2
Vikram Vedha collected only ₹13-13.50 crore nett on Day 2, which is just the chance it needed. Since the beginning was on the lines of Shamshera and Samrat Prithviraj, there were apprehensions that the film would end up like them, but this trend looks promising. Sunday, day 3 needs a similar surge, followed by strong holds for the rest of the week if Vikram Vedha box office collection has any chance of achieving even moderate success.
