From choosing the jungle VIPs at the start of the series through to picking the celebrities for the Bushtucker trials – many of which are going straight to Matt Hancock – a lot of what happens on the show is in the viewers’ hands.
Which might not be much fun for them – but of course, putting celebrities through their paces is the whole point of the hit ITV series.
So, how can you vote for Bushtucker trials and, eventually, eliminations, as the series edges closer to the final?
Here’s all you need to know.
How to vote using the I’m A Celebrity 2022 app
You can cast your vote using the I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here app.
Simply download via the App Store or Google Play, and once it is open you’ll be taken to a home screen.
In the bottom of your screen you’ll see four icons, one of which shows a heart symbol and reads ‘Vote’ – which is what you’ll need to use.
Clicking it takes you a dedicated section of the ITV website, where you can cast your vote.
You’ll be given the opportunity to have your say on whatever is happening in the show – be it picking the Jungle VIPs, choosing someone for a Bushtucker trial, or deciding who stays and goes in camp.
You may have to confirm your phone number or date of birth before being able to vote, mind.
Fans get five votes, which are all free to use up.
When we voted, we had to ‘unlock’ the latter four available votes by watching a very quick ad on screen. It lasted for just a few seconds, and then we continued voting.
How to vote on I’m A Celebrity 2022 by phone or text
Once the series starts, you’ll be given phone numbers to call and text to vote for various things on the show.
You have two options for a phone vote.
The 09 numbers can be dialled on a mobile or a landline. You will hear a short message thanking you for your vote. Each phone vote costs 50p plus your network access charge.
The seven digit shorter number, called a Mobile short dial codes (MSDC) can only be dialled on mobiles. Each vote via a UK mobile to a MSDC costs 50p.

Voting is important now – especially as some viewers are sick of seeing Matt Hancock do all the trials.
When facing criticism over the former Health Secretary getting voted for the Bushtucker trials, Ant responded on social media: ‘If you want other people to do the trial, you’ve got to vote for them. If you want to see other people in the show you’ve got to vote for those other people’
‘Because as we know the trials take up, what a third of the show? It’s the first part of the show and it’s normally a big part of the show. So if you’re missing people and you want to see them, vote for them.’
Eventually, fans will be able to use the phone numbers to subject celebrities to Bushtucker trials, save their favourite campmate from being booted out of the jungle, and lastly cast their final vote for their preferred King or Queen of the Jungle.
It doesn’t seem there is a phone number to vote for Jungle VIPs, however, if you’d prefer not to download the app, you can still get five free votes by visiting itv.com/vote/iac.
