The best ideas often happen when you’re sailing aboard an elegant wooden sail boat in Ibiza, blasting fabulousness as you sail along this mythical coastline, gazing out to Es Vedra, grazing on a paella. Which is how FRAME Founder Erik Torstensson and super-stylist and British Vogue Fashion Director, Julia Sarr-Jamois, came up with the genius idea to collaborate on a collection. Low-key it is not.
With a pair of jeans encrusted with 50,000 Swarovski crystals being the star piece, alongside some divine kaleidoscopic print cardigans and crochet bikinis in the mix, too. Bling and glamour are hallmarks of Sarr-Jamois’ style… So the dinner was never going to be a casual affair, which saw a glittering roll call of fashion power-players and photographers, such as Tyler Mitchell, Nadine Ijewere and Angelo Pennetta, model Lady Jean Campbell and the in-demand artist, Rachel Jones, all descend on Caviar Kaspia for an intimate dinner.
The seats were even tie-dyed in Sarr-Jamois’ honour, alongside a seriously lavish tablescape dressed with bejewelled and customised napkins, all so decadently orchestrated by event producer extraordinaire, Fiona Lehy. But dreamy aesthetic details aside, alas, they could not outshine the infamous jacket potato and caviar, which Sarr- Jamois declared to be her in a dish, ‘down to earth, but not really’. Casual.
