SS Rajamouli’s action adventure film RRR made the country proud this week by winning the Best Song for ‘Naatu Naatu’ at the recently concluded 95th Oscars. Hence, the film, which stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR in lead roles, is currently the talk of the town. The latest one to feel proud by the film’s achievement is veteran actress Hema Malini.

Sharing her reaction on the film’s win at the Oscars, Hema Malini told the Free Press Journal in an interview, “A South film has received an Oscar, especially for a dance performance. It’s a proud moment globally. It’s a huge achievement for all of us that we are bringing the Oscar to our country.”
When asked whether she will be willing to act in a film directed by Rajamouli, the veteran actress added, “If I am offered a good role by director SS Rajamouliji, I would definitely like to work with him.”
Hema Malini is currently in Mumbai for her dance performance Ganga that will take place in the city tomorrow.
For the unversed, RRR is a fictional account of revolutionaries Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem based in the 1920s. The film is about the kidnapping of a tribal girl by a high ranking British officer and how the two revolutionaries, played by Ram Charan and Jr NTR, free her after going through a lot of hardships.
