However, even though the humour is on point and the actors are clearly enjoying themselves throughout, ‘Happy Family: Conditions Apply’ doesn’t go beyond its core concept and is somewhat limited as a result. At least, that’s what the first four episodes available for review are indicating. But one thing remains constant: the jokes continue until the final frame.On the whole, this family comedy is a light-hearted, entertaining watch that will undoubtedly make you laugh out loud.

The biggest USP of the show is the writing and the direction. Keeping the scenes as real and relatable as possible, you get drawn into the lives of these characters. Their fights, worries, wins and defeats suddenly seem to be all yours. If you keep watching old episodes of Khichdi or Sarabhai then Happy Family is the best bet to get the closest experience of that feel-good old-school comedy. A show to watch with your family!

Happy Family: Conditions Apply may not be as legendary as Aatish Kapadia and Jamnadas Majethia’s previous works, especially the Khichdi series and Sarabhai v/s Sarabhai, but it’s definitely amusing at places.If you’re one of those who’s exhausted by the amount of gore and guns on display, Happy Family: Conditions Apply would be breath of fresh air. Or else, good luck enjoying the fragrance of blood. No conditions applied.
