Sunny Deolwho is currently on cloud nine after the blockbuster success of his latest release Bridge 2, found himself in the middle of a controversy after a bank foreclosed on a property owned by the actor. The property has reportedly been scheduled for e-auction by Bank of Baroda to repay a loan given to the actor. The bank tried to recover the loan, which was reported to be approximately Rs 56 crore. However, the bank has now canceled the e-auction notification for Sunny Deol’s Juhu estate, citing “technical reasons”.
Sunny Deol’s Juhu villa e-auction cancelled
On Monday, the bank came out with a new announcement and explained that the e-auction for Sunny Deol’s Juhu villa has been withdrawn due to technical reasons. The correction note reads: “Correction to E Auction Sale Notice dated 19.08.2023 published in The Times of India Mumbai Edition (Pg.3) dated 20.08.2023 in respect of Sale Notice in respect of Mr. Ajay Singh Deol alias Mr. Sunny Deol’s standings have been withdrawn on technical grounds for the below mentioned property: All that parcel of land bearing Survey No. 41 Hissa No. 5 (Pt) CTS No. 173 of Village Juhu Taluka Andheri Mumbai Suburban Dist, measuring 599.44 Sq.m.under structure known as Sunny Villa situated at Gandhigram Road Juhu Mumbai 400049. Bearing New Municipal Valuation No. 00121047 situated in Suburban Registration Area and Sub-District of Mumbai.”
While Sunny’s representatives acknowledged the e-auction notice, its team also clarified that the amount mentioned was not correct. Sunny is yet to publicly react to the notice.
Meanwhile, to Sunny Bridge 2 continues to set new records at the box office. The film hit theaters on August 11 and clashed with Akshay Kumar’s at the box office Oh my god 2 and Rajinikanth jailer The film has so far collected over Rs 377 crores in Indian within 10 days of its release and has already been declared a box office blockbuster.
