Directed by Rohit Dhawan, the movie also stars Kriti Sanon, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, Ronit Roy, and Sachin Khedekar and is a remake of the Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Bantu (Kartik) has always faced his father’s contempt; he longs for love and affection which he finds in his employer, Samara. A secret turns Bantu’s life upside down and he then sets on a journey of self-discovery.
17. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan – Theatre, December 25
Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff unite for the first time for this action-comedy directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film also features Manushi Chillar, Sonakshi Sinha, and South superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran, who plays the antagonist fashioned on the lines of Raoul Silva played by Javier Bardem in the Daniel Craig-starrer James Bond film, Sky Fall. The movie is Ali’s take on the 1998 movie of the same name starring Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda in lead roles. The mega-budget reboot boasts high-octane action sequences and will be shot in India, UAE, and Europe.
18. Bholaa – Theatre, March 30
Ajay Devgn reunites with his Drishyam co-star Tabu for the Hindi adaptation of the Tamil superhit Kaithi. Ajay Devgn also takes the director’s seat for the movie which is planned as a three-part franchise. The movie revolves around Bholaa, who is returning home after 10 years of imprisonment to meet his daughter. His journey home, however, is not an easy one as troubles mount for the desperate father.
