While all that glitters definitely has all of our attention when it’s on the red carpet, what unfailingly turns our heads is when bling is gently added in. Freida Pinto knows exactly how to do that. The Hollywood actress will be seen next in Mr. Malcolm’s List, for which she attended an event in New York City. And though Freida may be miles away from the capital city of Indian fashion, she certainly hasn’t forgotten her roots. For the event, Pinto picked a subtly sparkling creation from renowned Indian designer Manish Malhotra. We’re beaming with pride!

She picked the Moonlit Mystique Mijwan Sharara Set which is a geometric floret chikankari embroidered set that costs Rs 3,50,000. It included a corset-style bralette which was encrusted with shimmering stones and wide-legged trousers which had embroidered details in chikankari with stones sewn in. Over it, Freida draped a beige sleeveless cape for a flowing layer to balance the sparkle. She carried a neutral toned purse in her hand.

It was Freida’s makeup look that really took things up a notch. She wore a vivid shade of purple on her lids to add a pop of colour. To complement it, bronzer sculpted her cheeks and neutral lip gloss added finish to her lips. Her hair was tied up in a half updo hairstyle to round off the elegant outfit. There’s something so charming about Freida’s look that blends modern ethnicity with subtlety and even a funky touch with her lids. We hope there’s more where that came from, Freida!
