For their newest offerings, fashion labels Natori and Criselda reimagine floral prints for fall
Florals for fall? Why not.
In a tropical country like the Philippines, floral printed pieces are definitely staples in a woman’s closet. They are chic travel wear, and with a change of shoes and accessories, they can be dainty looks fit for the city. While in the past, florals have been associated with spring and summer seasons, designers have been reimagining them to fit fall and holiday dressing. The latest to do so are Filipino-led labels Natori and Criselda.
This month, the two fashion brands unveiled their latest takes on the botanical prints, and the result is moody, artsy, and definitely romantic.
The late fashion designer Criselda Lontok has always loved florals. That’s why it is just natural for her namesake brand to continue it. Its newest collection dubbed “Flor-Arts” is inspired by the playful interplay of large-scale flowers and the graphic art prints of 1960s pop art. Featuring party-ready tunics and caftans of every drape, material, and length, the line befits all whims and moods. Timeless and elegant, this collection marks a new era for Criselda’s label as the season ushers in a renewed sense of hope and freedom. With the brand’s characteristic exuberance, it captures the drive to be creative and artistic all over again, as the world springs back to life. The FW22 collection is a fitting ode to the joie de vivre panache of the Filipina woman.

Natori, on the other hand, offers something edgy and contemporary. Warm floral embroidery and embellishments pop out of black pieces. The line’s cotton poplin top, ponte dress, and shugo strapless top, can easily find their way to any woman’s wardrobe. Fashion designer Josie Natori continues her celebration of glamor with the introduction of the Infinity print and the iconic yin and yang.
Natori is available at Rustans Makati and Rustans Shangri-La. Criselda Lontok is available at Rustans Makati, Rustans Shangri-La, Rustan’s Alabang, Rustan’s Gateway, Rustan’s Cebu and rustans.com
