Finalists for PEI Women Entrepreneurs Business Pitch Competition announced

CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI — The PEI Business Women’s Association (PEIBWA) has selected six female entrepreneurs as finalists for its pitch competition.

The Sensational Summer PitchFest, launched in May, is a competition for women entrepreneurs from across the Island looking to raise capital.

The six finalists include Simone Cormier of Au Naturel Solutions Inc, Josie Gallant-Gordon of Elm Grove Centre, Sarah Benetto O’Brien of Handpie Company, Debbie Brady of Oyster Art, Jenna Sheen and Neely Currie of Sol Paddle Tavern and Rachel Sonola of Sonola Sweets .

The six finalists will receive one-on-one coaching from industry representatives before entering the live competition for a chance to win $15,000, PEIBWA said in a news release.

The prize money will be used to grow and expand the business.

The competition will be held in Charlottetown on July 27, where one company will be announced as the winner of the festival.
